I had the complete joy of photographing this GORGEOUS little boy last night!! Oh my goodness, his blond curly hair, his eyes, his smile...he was just gorgeous!! I was so glad we got to do these at the end of the session and the light even came out for just long enough to create some gorgeous back lighting.
So here's just a few from last night...the "Vintage Wash" series.

*Just a side note, if you click on these to view larger the dark border will show, which is not part of the print :)

Sneak Peek "C"

I tell ya...I am very lucky to be able to photograph such stunning seniors!! It was too hard to narrow it down to only a couple to show for the sneak peek...so I kinda over did it...LOL. That's what happens when the camera love you "C" :) I had lots of fun with this family and "C" you are gorgeous...can't wait to show you the rest of your stunning pics!!

The Air Show :)

Last year I posted a few pics from our local air show, so I thought I'd share one of my faves from this years. This years show was a scaled down version, but our family still enjoyed it very much. My "Vintage Flyer" shot from last years show made a great piece of art for my son's bedroom...so this year it was so cute when he asked me to take more pictures for his room to add to his collection. This year I had a much better lens so I could get closer :)
This one is titled "Vintage Flyer II" and it's for my son :)

textures...

We went to a family reunion over the weekend and it was held at a place where they had some absolutely beautiful gardens. I of course brought my camera and was very drawn to all the different textures in the garden as well as the beautiful butterflies. Here are a few I took while I was there.

More "M" Sunset Beauty...

First off I apologize, blogger is driving me nuts today, so for all of you who have me linked up to get my feeds whenever I publish, you are getting a ton of publishing today. SORRY. Eventually I will get this to look right on here...LOL

Okay...onto the post, hopefully...
When "M" and I talked about her senior pics, one of the things I loved is that she was very familiar with my style of photography and really wanted me to create some beautiful pieces of art. She knew I used lots of different post processing and wanted her senior pics to have that rather than just the typical color portraits. These ones were a perfect opportunity to use some different post processing and textures on. Also one of the requests that she had was for me to incorporate pink balloons in her session...I was very excited to do this for a senior session. I've used them many times in children's sessions, but this was a first for a senior session.

Here are a couple of the balloon ones from the end of the session, we took these at sunset, as well as a sunset picture in the gorgeous sunflower field.

I think these really reflect moving on as a graduate. I love that we released the balloons at the end of the session...

Letting go of childhood....and moving on to a new chapter in her life...
(but I hope you never let go of your inner child my dear :)

And this....how gorgeous is this. I wish these sunflowers were available every year for senior pics!!

Okay...for all you photogs who frequent my blog...I have to give my friend and fellow photog a plug right here. As I said I use lots of different textures on my images. Some are my own, and I also have textures from many different photogs, but Nadia Smith of Inspired Images by Nadia has her textures on sale right now and I also love hers. The texture used on these images is called "Soul-full" from her Heartography line. I think it's my favorite texture of hers and I use it often . So if you have not checked out her textures...do so :)

And don't forget....specials are still running for the launch of the new website. Check out the post titled "new website" on the blog for details!!

More "M" Urban Part 1

Okay...since there are SO many to show from M's session, I am going to show them in groupings. As I said, M was so kind as to help me out and test out some new locations and was up for some new and fun stuff, so therefore...lots of pics :) In fact we even broke her session into 2 different days so we could go out of town for some of the pics too...fun stuff :)

The first ones I am going to show are some of the urban ones, we found a great location behind a vacant restaurant in a neighboring downtown. Made for some great pics.

She plays the saxophone...but we had to do something fun and different..so here it is ;)
I love how she crosses her little toes...LOL...too cute!!

HELLO GORGEOUS!! Look at those eyes!!

More to come...we did some artsy shots as well with her prom dress and some balloons that she is stunning in...can't wait to share those as well. Thanks again "M" for being such a trooper :)

NEW WEBSITE!!

I am SO excited to share this news with you all!! I finally have a new website!! This truly is so long overdue. So to celebrate I am running some specials :)

So...here are the details for the specials.

Children's Special:

The first 2 people to book a Children's session by contacting me via the new website get $25.00 off their session fee. And because I am looking for some new faces for the new website this special if for new clients only.

Senior Special:

The first 2 seniors to book a session by contacting me via the new website receive 2 free sets of wallets :)

Newborn Special:

Also, I would like to to add to my newborn portfolio with some outdoor summer shots. So I am also going to do a special for 2 newborns. So if you are expecting or know of anyone who just had a baby send them my way via the contact section of the website. The only stipulation is they can NOT be over 2 weeks old.

*specials are valid August and September only

Now, onto the website. I have been wanting this website interface for well, I can't tell you how long, it truly fits my style. I was hoping to get a new website anyway by the end of this year, but the hosting company I bought it from had a huge sale, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity!!

So for those of you who frequent my blog, I am sure you have noticed that the music on my blog is "Dream" by Priscilla Ahn. I have to tell you, I love that song and I feel it fits my style of photography perfectly. So needless to say I wanted this song badly for my website, but it is a copyrighted song, so it's a big no no to use unless you have permission. Honestly I never in a million years thought I'd get permission to use this song, but guess what....I DID!! So as if getting a new website wasn't exciting enough, I got my song, the perfect song for me and my style.

So if you aren't familiar with her work check her out here Priscilla Ahn :)

And now...finally...here it is, my new website!!

HAYLEY HAMLIN PHOTOGRAPHY!!

Enjoy and be sure to come back and let me know what you think :)
