A Download tracker is installed on this blog!! Do NOT take photos from this blog!!! IT is against the LAW!!
When we first started shooting she kept pulling at her dress. I love how at this age they are so aware of their surroundings and so curious about everything. I love to sit back and watch it all through my lens.
This one I loved so much both ways, in color and in b&w, so guess what, you get to see it both ways :). That serious little look on her face just gets me.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Again, a few more from C.Z.'s senior solo dance.
I mentioned awhile back that I had a session that I couldn't wait to share, but had to keep it on the down low :) Well I just got word that it is now safe to share and it really couldn't be more perfect timing with Flag Day being in a few days. :) This truly was a very special session for me. It ALWAYS means so much to me to be apart of my clients lives and capture the moments of their life for them, but this session took on some extra special meaning. You see, daddy is in the Army and is stationed right now in Afghanistan. When the mom called me and told me what she wanted to do photos of their daughter to send him, I was beyond honored to be able to share in this. We did the session and I have to say God gave us a lovely warm day for the pics. We were even able to get outside and normally in Michigan around the time we shot, which was the beginning of April, it just wouldn't happen.
As I was watching the DVDs back before mom picked it up, my son read the sign on the opening slide that says "I love you Daddy" and he then asked what it was for. I told him that this little girls daddy was off keeping our country safe. As I tried to explain to him in terms a little one could understand, I got a bit teary eyed. I can't tell you how grateful I am to the military families in this country. The sacrifices your families make to keep our country safe is heroic. I am also grateful that this mom contacted me to capture their baby girl. I hope that through these pictures and slide show, the things he is missing as he is away will be brought close to his heart for a brief moment until he comes home.
In conversing back and forth with the Mom, as I said, she let me know a few days ago that she had finally received word from her hubby that he got everything. But I have to say the rest of what she wrote to me literally brought tears to my eyes. I asked her if I could share, and she was kind enough to let me.
Hi Hayley!
"I talked to my husband today. He LOVED the pictures! Absolutely loved them! He said it is the only other thing he takes with him when he goes on missions... other than his wedding ring and dog tags! How awesome is that! Thanks so much for all of this. Seriously, you'll never know how much this meant to our family. You have been SUCH a blessing."
"C", thank you again for letting me be apart of making this happen for your hubby. And thank you to you, and to ALL the military families for the sacrifices you make. God Bless!!
Here are a few photos from the session. Daddy also received a mini brag book full of photos from the session. And yes, it ended up being just the right size to keep close to his heart!! :)

And here is the DVD video that Daddy received :)
REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE MAIN BLOG MUSIC BEFORE VIEWING VIDEO :)
