One thing I've learned about myself over the years, I am terrible at expressing myself through words. I express myself through a camera lens. It's how I "feel" life. My friend and fellow photog
Alli Gaulin however is great at expressing herself through words. In our photog group, the
Pixel Chicks we often refer to her as our resident wordsmith ;) Anyway, yesterday Alli put a post on her blog about how she recently stumbled upon an old image of her daughter and how glad she was to have that photo because of how much her daughter has changed in 2 years. Of course Alli said it much more eloquently than that, but anyway, the point she was making is why I love my job so very much. Moments pass so quickly and I am blessed to be able to capture these "heart of soul" moments for families. Your child changes so quickly. You can't get those moments back, but for an instant you can pause everything...with the click of the shutter. I love that when I revisit my own photos I am immediately taken to that place and time. I love that photography can do that, and I am thankful and blessed that I can do that for you :)
"I am so thankful that I have photography- it's the only way to press the pause button"~Alli Gaulin And because I can't leave you without an image....here's a little piece of childhood :)
And...comments are unfortunately still not working correctly. it appears as though I can now publish new comments, however I am not sure if they will be saved or not. And I still have not been able to get back my old comments :( But THANK YOU to all who have still been leaving them. Hopefully this problem will get figured out soon!!
till next time...
