Little Man "P" {Michigan Newborn Photographer}

Have I mentioned how much I love working with newborns :) I mean really look at this little guy...he is just perfect!!

I love all the textures in this first one...

Gave mom a work out here...but I think it was worth it for this shot ;)

I was walking through an antique store the other day and this little truck was just calling my name. And since I had this newborn session coming up...it worked out perfect :)

Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of this very special time in your life. :)
And...if you haven't already, stop on by and become a fan on Facebook :) Link is at the bottom of the blog :)

pausing time...

One thing I've learned about myself over the years, I am terrible at expressing myself through words. I express myself through a camera lens. It's how I "feel" life. My friend and fellow photog Alli Gaulin however is great at expressing herself through words. In our photog group, the Pixel Chicks we often refer to her as our resident wordsmith ;) Anyway, yesterday Alli put a post on her blog about how she recently stumbled upon an old image of her daughter and how glad she was to have that photo because of how much her daughter has changed in 2 years. Of course Alli said it much more eloquently than that, but anyway, the point she was making is why I love my job so very much. Moments pass so quickly and I am blessed to be able to capture these "heart of soul" moments for families. Your child changes so quickly. You can't get those moments back, but for an instant you can pause everything...with the click of the shutter. I love that when I revisit my own photos I am immediately taken to that place and time. I love that photography can do that, and I am thankful and blessed that I can do that for you :)

"I am so thankful that I have photography- it's the only way to press the pause button"
~Alli Gaulin

And because I can't leave you without an image....here's a little piece of childhood :)

And...comments are unfortunately still not working correctly. it appears as though I can now publish new comments, however I am not sure if they will be saved or not. And I still have not been able to get back my old comments :( But THANK YOU to all who have still been leaving them. Hopefully this problem will get figured out soon!!

Class of 2011-March Pre-booking Special

Well, we are a few weeks into March...and it's time for another senior pre-booking special. This is one you won't want to miss out on!! This product has been a favorite for my regular portraiture sessions for several years now...and now I am offering it for seniors as well. These are mini accordion albums. The older version of this was a classic black mini album but for seniors they have a new revised look that is customized to your senior portraits. They are already getting rave reviews :) This mini album holds 12 photos from your session and comes packaged extra special for you. To get this awesome item...just pre-book your senior session now. By pre-booking your session you are paying your session fee only which holds your date and locks you in to getting this item. Upon completion of your paid order, you will get not 1 of these, BUT a set of 3 mini albums!! For more details on this special, or to pre-book your session, contact me via my website. Or you can find one of my senior reps and get a referral card from them. Again, Hailee Chubb is my Alma High School Senior Rep, and Monica Acker is my Fulton High School Senior Rep. You do not have to attend the school they do to get a referral card from them.

Here is a sample of a 2010 grads mini album. This was an instant hit in their household!! Hers was printed on pearl paper which turned out absolutely gorgeous.
Mini Book special expires April 1st....don't miss out :)

Also, don't forget to check out the Senior Video at the top of the blog, but remember to turn off the main blog music first :)

Oh...and just a side note, my blog has been having some problems. As much as I'd love for you to leave me a comment, right now my blog is not holding published comments. In fact...my blog recently just lost all comments from January all the way back to when I started my blog. And the comments on recent posts are only partially there :( I hope this issue will be resolved soon!! Once the comments issue has been resolved I'll let you know :) If you still want to leave a comment, I will hold them in my email until this issue is hopefully resolved and then publish them then :) Thanks

Time to start thinking about....Mothers Day :)

And do I have the perfect gift for any Mom or Grandma :) I have been very excited to share this item with you all and since Mother's Day is just around the corner it's the perfect time to introduce this new piece. This piece is hands down my favorite necklace I carry. It is a Sterling Silver Glass Photo Locket. It holds 2 photos from your session and comes with a sterling silver chain. What I really love about this locket is that it opens at the top allowing photos to be changed with each of your sessions :) As you can see from the photos below both color and b&w photos look stunning in this locket and the glass just magnifies your photo. I get tons of compliments on mine!!

If you would like more information about this item, please contact me via the website. Also...if you have done a session with me in the past and would still like to order this item, you are more than welcome to order using photos from a past photo session.
