Happy Thanksgiving

Wanted to take a minute to wish you all a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. I know I won't have time tomorrow to post this, so I thought I'd post it today :) I hope you all have a wonderful day full of blessings. I know as I look back on this last year I have an abundance of blessing to count and be thankful for not only personally but in my business.
And since it is Thanksgiving I think this is such an appropriate time to express my thanks, although I am not sure I could ever put it into words!! Thank you so much to all of you for blessing me this year with your business. I will never be able to express how thankful I am to be able to do this for a living...something I love and enjoy so much. So to all of you who have let me "capture it all" for you...thank you!!

Before I go....I want to leave you with this thought and this verse...
When you count your blessings this Thanksgiving...don't forget the greatest gift of all.

Psalms 136:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever...."

God Bless...

Hayley

In their own words...

I wanted to share this, it literally brought tears to my eyes...thank you Kathy for this beautiful testimonial!! I can't tell you how much these words mean to me. All of the things I hope people feel about working with me and the art I create for them...summed up perfectly in these words. From the bottom of my heart...thank you!!
....and I love this....she even got my tag line in there ;)

"In choosing a photographer I wanted someone who would capture my child's spirit. Not just prop them in a chair, make funny faces and say smile!!! I needed patience, perseverance and a unique perspective.

When I heard of Hayley I immediately went to her website and what I saw brought tears to my eyes. She is a talented artist, with a very special gift. She sees life through the eyes of a child, capturing their most innocent & tender moments.

With the pictures she took of my son I now have precious memories captured in time. I look at the innocence on his face and wonder? Would I have remembered that 6 months from now yet alone years from now?? Through Hayley's art I have found heartfelt images any mother or father would cherish for a lifetime. I will be a continued customer capturing the childlike moments my son will to soon outgrow. What a gift to have them captured for all time."

Remember to

LIVE* LAUGH* LOVE* CAPTURE IT ALL...................

-Kathy

And of course we have to show some more of her little man ;) Honestly there were so many from his session that I loved, I showed a ton on my blog after I did them, but because I love them so much here are some more from the "vintage wash" portion of the session :) Isn't he adorable!! :)

Holiday Deadline Reminder

I can't believe it, but it's already here again this year. So...just a quick reminder, if you are wanting your pictures back by Christmas the holiday deadline is tomorrow, Saturday November 15th :)

And yes...I know I have been a blog slacker...LOL. It's that time of year...busy busy!! :) Lots of orders being placed and jewelry made. I always think of my poor UPS man this time of year. All the stops he has to make at my house :)

And you know I can't post without a picture, so here is a recent storyboard I did for a session. Storyboards and Collages are a great way to get a grouping of photos from your session that tell a story about this special time in your little ones or your families life :) They are great for really every type of session, seniors love them too. This particular one though, I knew as I was taking these shots a storyboard had to be created :) I loved watching this little guy with the airplane and it's a moment that I think mom will cherish that much more presented this way.

The promise of tomorrow...

This is from a session I shared a little while ago and as I am sitting here working on the order I realized I shared this image but I never shared it presented this way. Anyway, I really loved it and I think the poem completes it. This was made for a note card, the complete poem is in the card, makes a beautiful keepsake and presentation :)

Grandchild's Hand
Author: unknown

The promise of tomorrow
And the hope of dreams come true...
A reminder of the childhood
That's still a part of you...

The wonder of a miracle
From which this love began...
There is so much found in the touch
Of holding a grandchild's hand.

Sneak Peek "A"

Oh to be young and beautiful. Meet "A"...my latest senior. We had a lot of fun on her session around town!!

Something a little different and fun with the ipod. Thanks for the inspiration on this one Candy ;)

This one I loved so much in both color and b&w, I am showing it both ways :)

And the last 2 are a couple fun ones. I loved these big doors at this location, so had to get the whole scene in a shot as well as some cool sun flare.

And, having a little fun ;)

Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!!
