Sneak Peek "S" family

My last post was the fun and beautiful "S" family, but here are some of the kiddos by themselves. Again, thank you for sharing the evening with me. Your family is gorgeous and I enjoyed getting to know you and making memories for you!!

How cool are these boots :)
I love how natural and relaxed he looks in this one and usually everyone knows I'd pick a B&W any day over a color image, but this one I love both ways, so I'm showing it both ways.

We did a lot of laughing and having fun at this session, I loved this capture...It about sums it up!!

Your proofs are just about done :) I'll be in contact soon!!
till next time...

just a note...

My weekends are now booked until the last weekend in October. I will take sessions throughout the week of course, but if you are needing a weekend session (which tend to go first) I only have 1 more left in Oct and then limited sessions in Nov to get prints back in time for Christmas.

Remembering 9/11

There really are no words that I can put on this page to describe the feelings of 9/11. I am sure every single one of us remember in detail what we were doing, where we were, how we felt...
I just wanted to take a moment of silence, if you will, in remembrance. So, if you are reading my blog, take a moment...say a prayer...in remembrance of that day.
God Bless!!

Do you still dance?

I love the complete innocence of children. How carefree they are. Just something as simple as taking them to an open field and letting them be...such a joy to watch. Dancing in the evening light with her wings and her bubbles. Oh, to be a child again!!

Don't Delay!!!

If you are thinking of booking a session for the months of Sept and Oct...don't delay!! Last year September and October were very unpredictable as far as the weather goes, and only a week into September this year, it's looking like it's going to be more of the same. I have been getting a lot of inquires over email and the phone for FALL sessions. What I have been telling them I will post here too, DO NOT delay and wait until we get color to schedule your session. I love our wonderful state we live in, but let's face it folks, the weather is SO unpredictable here!! If you want a session for fall, Sept or Oct, you need to book NOW!! Sessions are filling up fast.

And because I can't post without a pic, here's a beautiful collage of my latest senior "C". The timeline is closing in for seniors to get their sessions in too, so if you are thinking of using Hayley Hamlin Photography for your senior portraits, don't delay!!

The Quiet Observer...

I truly believe that you need to sit back and become a "quiet observer" in a children's session to get some of the greatest pictures. The un-scripted moments are the truest and most honest a child can give. I adore these. The imagination of a child...is a wonderful thing to behold!! I am blessed to be able to do what I do!!

I love the determination on his face as he is playing with his Lincoln logs.

The details of how their hands are so small at this age as they play. I always try to capture these moments for you, because they are too quickly forgotten.

I think I'm in love...:)

Seriously...this little boy could not get any cuter!! He's my "vintage wash" little boy from the previous post and I am totally in love with these pictures too!! For this first one I wanted a very high key black and white so I pushed it to the limits so on an un-calibrated monitor it will probably look very bright and blown out.
But anyway...this one is a new fave for me...I love it!! I just sent in some new children's business cards...and this pic is on my cover!! So mom...I know you are anxiously waiting posts of your little guy...hope you love these too :)

And check out these!! A few more vintage ones. These have a vintage texture to create that aged look on these. I love this series too. This one we'll call the "Vintage Garden" series. Seriously mom...you are going to have to load up on note cards, all these pics from the 2 series I've posted would make the cutest note cards ever!!

And to all you stopping by, leave a comment if ya like :)
