2 Post Day :) More for the "M" Family

I want to share a few more from this session so you get 2 posts today :)
Look at this beauty!!

Oh...how I love the way a child's eyelashes rest gently on their cheek when they look down. It's one of those captures I can't help but get!!

And yeah...little "B" is making his grand appearance in this post. We took more of big sis this time, since last time I photographed these kiddos he took center stage ;)

Does it get any cuter?

Yup, "B" is turning 1!!

I wanted to mention, the dress this little girl is wearing in many of this pics is from the fabulous Scarlet Stitch!! If you have not checked this place out, you need to :) The link is on my blog under Boutiques. This is the "Limited Edition Sunday Sash Dress"

"he loves me...he loves me not" This image is one of my very favorites from the session!!

And 1 more of the 2 cuties together! These children are SO beautiful, it was such a pleasure to be able to photograph them again. I just adore how she is kissing his tiny little hand :)

Thank you again "M" family. Your proofs are on their way :)

till next time...

flight :)

Here are a couple more from my recent family session. This family was so much fun to work with. Thanks again to the "N" family for allowing me to capture your families special memories :)

Can't you just see these 2 pictures hung together in a grouping!!

Take me Away...

Balloons and kids is such a fun and beautiful combination!! Last year I used balloons for my daughters special birthday and have been using them in sessions ever since :) Recently I had a session where the little girl will be turning 4 and the little boy 1 so how could we NOT do balloons for these special birthdays :) I got some pink for the little girl and for the little boy I got blue and red (that way we could choose which color coordinated with outfits). After we were done with the shots we needed with the individual balloons we put them all together and let the little girl play, they ended up being my very favorites from the balloon portion of the session.

This first one screams joy and childhood excitement. I know "A" wasn't planning on being in any pictures but I couldn't help it. Even though "E" is running away from me and towards the balloons I can feel and see that huge smile on her face!! I love this one!!

This one is where I get the title for my post. You may want to click on it to see it large, but I love how she is holding up her hand as if the balloons could take her away at any moment.

And this one...I adore her expression.

More to come soon. I have SO many from this session I can't wait to share. And thank you to the "M" family once again for sharing your family with me!! I love working with you all :)

Family :)

I had the privilege of photographing this little one last year, but this time we got the whole family together for some fun :) And yes I mean fun!! What I love about working with "M" is that she is always open to new things, how many people would be up for putting their couch outside ;) Last year when I photographed their little guy, she mentioned she would love to do family pictures in the near future and that she wanted to put her couch outside, I was like are kidding me because I have been looking for someone who is actually willing to do this!! So we did it!! Thanks for being so open to different things...here's your sneak peak...enjoy!!

More to come soon ;) Till next time...

A stroll back in time...

I am so excited...I finally found an antique baby carriage :) I have been looking for one for quite some time and was so excited to use it on a shoot!! This is the second time I have had the privileged of photographing these beautiful children. I adore working with them. :) So for today here is 1 with my new "find". More to come soon from a few sessions.

Rain Rain Go Away...

Okay...seriously, I know I know, we need the rain. BUT, when oh when will it end? I just wanted to send out a thank you note to my clients who have been so patient while we have had to book and re-book...and in some cases re-book again while we are stuck in this period of never ending rain. So thank you for your patience and hopefully it will be over soon and we can get back outside and do some sessions!! :)

till next time...

Pretty as a Daisy :)

The daisies are in full bloom in my Mom's flower garden...so this time of year I do as many sessions as I can at this location. They are only here for a little...so if you want some gorgeous pictures in them, give me a call, I will work in sessions due to the time frame of them being available.
This little beauty is turning 1 this week and so we did her first birthday pictures. I posted 1 from her session in my last post, she's the doll doing the "he loves me" with the daisies :)

Look at those gorgeous eyelashes!!

1 balloon for her first birthday!!

till next time :)

The Details...

I am going to get long-winded again...:)
I often hear some of my photographer friends, of which I am in forums with, mention how I see so much of the details in my sessions. When I posted this picture of the little girl in the daisies in my betterphoto gallery one of them mentioned it again...so I wanted to share a little bit about the details with you. I am a very detailed person, for me many times it's these details that pull on my heartstrings the most. So when I am in a session I can't help but notice the details of children, the way they reach for things, or the way their bare feet look at this precious age they are at, or the simplicity of the way their eyelashes fall on their cheek as they look down at something, or the tiny curls in their hair, or the way a young child reaches for his daddy's hand . These are all things that just pass too quickly as they grow and if I can capture it for you through my lens then you have that moment of their childhood forever. My thoughts are, these are the things I never want to forget about my own children, so I want to preserve these memories for you as well. I think often times these are the things that are forgotten too quickly. So yes, I very much notice the details in my sessions. And if you were to walk through my home, you would find many many pictures in my house of detailed shots :)

So I wanted to share a couple of my detailed shots from my recent 2 sessions with you. I am way behind on posting sessions due to sickness in our home...but here are a couple from 2 different sessions...

The first pic....
Who hasn't done this with daisies as a little girl :) One of my recent sessions was in a beautiful flower garden and the daisies are starting to bloom here so to break the ice with this little one I picked a daisy and showed her the "he loves me, he loves me not" thing. She is almost 1 and picked up on it immediately and was even trying to say it as she picked them. It was the cutest thing to watch!! Here is one of my very faves of her picking the daisies blossoms...

And this little guy I had the complete pleasure to photograph for the second time in the past few days. He has grown SO much as is SO SO adorable...I could squeeze him!! I'll be posting more of his cute little face soon, I promise. But this shot...oh it melts my heart. The way he reached for his Daddy's hand and those curls in his hair...

Don't let the precious details go un-captured!!

Until next time...
