C&K Wedding Sneak Peek!!

I am sure C&K are anxious to see some images from the wedding as well as family and friends too :) So here ya go!! There will be lots in color in your album but you know me...HUGE b&w fan so for my blog posting you only get a couple in color and lots of b&w ;)

I loved this little secret passage way in the upstairs balcony of the church!! It was blistering hot up there, but well worth it for this shot :)

And the guys...aren't they a handsome bunch!!

Here's the wedding party just having a little fun ;)

I LOVE this picture. This is the receiving line, but what a moment to get the groom admiring his ring with a sweet smile on his face ;) Love it!!

And again in the "hot" stairway, but oh, those windows...you just had to take pictures in front of them. I could have played with the light in there all day!! Isn't it stunning, doesn't hurt that "C" was a stunning bride!!

Here comes the guys to the church!!

The ring bearer and the flower girl were simply adorable!!

This one I have to add because it cracks me up. Check out the little girl in the isle ;) I have done pics for her before as well so I had to add this. Mom and Grandma will love it :) So "P" and "A" this ones for you :)

And last but not least, yes you have already seen this, but I love this shot of them. One of my faves!! So to end their sneak peek I must include it!!

C&K thank you again for letting me be apart of your special day!! I had a blast and I hope you enjoy these :)

Congrats C&K!!

This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing C&K's wedding. You may remember their engagement photos that I posted awhile back. Anyway, I just wanted to send out a quick Congrats to the bride and groom as they begin their new lives together. Thank you for letting me be apart of your special day!! I will give you one little teaser from the wedding ;) When I found out where the wedding was going to be held I had this vision of this image in my head, I hope you love it as much as I do!! Congrats again!!

Sneak Peek Baby "M"

I am finding it very hard not to share a ton of these pictures!! Baby "M" is so beautiful!! One of the cutest things was her little fascination with her foot. I have lots of images with her foot in her mouth, but honestly does it get any cuter?
So many beautiful colors where we took these and add in this gorgeous blanket, and a beautiful baby (with some absolutely beautiful eyes by the way) and it just all comes together :)

There's my foot again :)

Managed to get a couple smiles :)

And those eyes...how gorgeous are those!!

Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek :)

Fair for the Youth

I had the absolute pleasure today of judging the photography portion of our local fair for the youth. It was lots of fun speaking to each of you about your pieces of art. If you have a chance this week, check out our local fair for the youth and stop by the exhibits barn to see some of the up and coming photographers :)

Quote of the Week

Thought I would start sharing some quotes or verses that are inspiring each week. I will put them on the right side of my blog in the upper right hand corner. The first one I have chosen is from Ansel Adams, a true inspiration in the world of photography.

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words. ~Ansel Adams

Celebration of Freedom

So I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing 4th of July weekend!! We had a nice weekend and for me a weekend of first. I finally got to try my hand at photographing some fireworks. Our neighboring town put on a small fireworks display Saturday night and since my photog friend Sherry had just posted some notes and tips on fireworks photography in a small forum I am in I thought I'd give it a try. It was certainly a learning experience, but it's always fun to try something new and next time I hope to be better at it :) Thanks again Sherry for the tips :) I was hoping to get multiple bursts in the air, but they didn't do any like that, not even for the grand finale, so it was lots of individual bursts, but hey, I was glad to get any of them to turn out at all ;)

So since we are celebrating freedom this weekend, I thought I'd share these images that speak of another freedom as well. The other night as I was coming home from the park with my kids I noticed this display in a farmers corn field. Luckily I had my camera!! What a site this was to see with the sun going down behind them. So here I am pulled off to the side of the road snapping away. What a wonderful thing this farmer has done, displaying the 3 crosses on a busy road where everyone can see it each day and be reminded what Christ did on the cross for us. We have freedom in Christ, he paid the price for each and everyone of us and I am thankful each and everyday for that.

They are the same image but I loved the panoramic crop showing more of the field and tree line, but the closeup is also very moving.
