2nd place winner

It is always nice to even be recognized in this photo contest but every once in awhile I have the privilege of a photo going a bit farther. May finalist were announced a few days ago and again there were over 25,600 photos entered last month. My photo "Make a Wish" was amongst the people category finalist. It has then gone on to be one of the 10 second place winners.

Gift from God

It is with the greatest joy that I am finally able to post these pictures!! This little princess spent 10 days in a neonatal children's hospital. She is doing so well now and today, I had the complete joy of taking her newborn pictures. Through love and anwered prayers she is truly a "Gift from God".

This is one of my favorite things to do in sessions because you get some of the best and truest captures from kids!! This cracked me up....she totally sees herself in that reflection and is completely face down...I love it :)

Oh....and I HAVE to add this :) LOL As I was going through the pictures yesterday I ran across this and it just made me smile because this is "life captures" in it's truest form is it not :) It's cute because even though this little man is actually crying because he is overly tired and ready for nap, the picture tells a little different story, does it not :) The funny thing is we were trying to do bubbles at this point and she was all into it and as you can see he was not...poor little man...so you almost get the sense of her grabbing hold of him and saying "listen up brother, I'm trying to have some fun here" :) Oh...I see so many future moments between these 2 just from this picture and so I just had to add it...hope ya don't mind :)
It kept me smiling all day yesterday, hope it brings a smile to your face too :)

A Little Vintage...Something different :)

So....I always like to add in the proofs a little something different :) Pieces of art that are just different than the everyday norm...
So I just got these neat borders and vintage overlays and I had some perfect pictures from my last session with these adorable twins to try them out :)
I always show the original picture in the proofs as well but these are just a few more options that I can give to make sure you have something different....
I have lots more to show of these 2 sweeties...I've been working all day on thier proofs and I will show some more soon :)

Does it get any sweeter than little sister reaching out to hold brothers hand? Moments like this are why I love photographing children so much!! Absolutely priceless!!
